Bumbleride Era vs. Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel Stroller Comparison
Choosing the perfect stroller can be overwhelming with so many options available. Two brands that stand out for their focus on outdoor versatility are Bumbleride and Thule. Both have developed single four-wheel strollers designed for both everyday use and rough terrain.
The Bumbleride Era features eco-friendly materials and air-filled tires for optimal handling. It's the perfect blend of rugged terrain capability and sleek city design. The Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel stroller is also equipped with air-filled tires. It delivers remarkable suspension to ensure a smooth journey over various surfaces, from city sidewalks to forest trails.
These two strollers are similar in function, size, and price. One huge difference is the Era seat is removable and reversible, while the Urban Glide 4-Wheel seat is not. Both are great options for active families needing robust tires and easy pushes. Let's take a closer look at the Bumbleride Era and Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel strollers!
Bumbleride Era
Bumbleride brings its eco-conscious, adventure-ready style to the Bumbleride Era, the company's first stroller with four wheels and a reversible seat that allows your child to face you or face forward.
While not intended for jogging, the Era has air-filled tires to provide a smooth ride when strolling over grass, sand, snow and other rough surfaces! The Era is also full of features parents are seeking in an everyday stroller, like newborn ready, car seat and bassinet compatibility, a standing fold, and plenty of storage space.
The fabrics on Bumbleride strollers are water-resistant, thanks to PFC-free durable water repellant, and plastic components are made from 50% recycled recycled fishing nets. Plus, the Era is the first stroller to feature a handlebar made of cork—an all-natural material that's durable, antimicrobial, comfortable, non-toxic and sustainable!
Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel
Thule is known for its high-quality adventure gear including jogging strollers, bike seats, roof racks, etc. Thule now brings their innovation to their first ever stroller with four wheels: the Urban Glide 4-Wheel stroller!
The Thule Urban Glide 4-wheel stroller is perfect for navigating city streets and rugged terrain with ease. Engineered for both newborns and toddlers, it combines comfort, practicality, ample storage, and exceptional performance. Much like the 3-wheel best-selling Urban Glide stroller, the 4-Wheel features a twist hand brake for speed control and management on any terrain. However, the Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel offers a one-handed, smaller, more compact fold than its sister jogging stroller.

Bumbleride Era vs. Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel Configurations and Bassinet
Bassinets aren't required for using the stroller with a newborn, but they are recommended for a few reasons.
A bassinet allows a baby to lie completely flat, rather than in a slightly upright position in the car seat, which allows for open airways and a better-supported head and neck. Bassinets are also more ventilated than car seats, which tend to make babies sweaty with their protective foam.
The Bumbleride Era and Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel both have a bassinet available for purchase. The Bumbleride bassinet uses a 100% recycled polyester fabric, a vented base board and breathable mattress. The bassinet features a large SPF 45+ canopy with pop out extension, zip on wind cover and one handed carrying handle.
The Thule bassinet includes a ventilated base and mattress, extendable and ventilated canopy, and reflective details for improved visibility in low light conditions.
Both strollers also work with compatible car seats (see below).

The Thule Urban Glide 4-Wheel uses the same adapter as the Urban Glide 3 Single. Besides the post adapters that fit brands like Nuna and Cybex, Thule also offers a universal adapter that works with a wide array of car seats including UPPAbaby, Graco, Britax, and more!
