Chicco is pronounced “KEE-ko.”

How to fold Chicco strollers varies by model. For the popular Chicco Bravo, start by ensuring your child is safely away from the stroller and remove the infant car seat if attached. Lift the seat fabric to locate the fold handle, slide the release button, and pull up. The stroller will collapse, the wheels will swivel in, and it will stand on its own. The fold handle also doubles as a convenient carry handle for easy transport!

Before you start: Always make sure your vehicle is on a level surface. Decide whether you’ll use the LATCH system or the seat belt to secure the base. Installing the Keyfit base is very simple!

Installing with LATCH:

  1. Place the KeyFit base on the vehicle seat, ensuring it does not block the seat belt buckle.
  2. Adjust the recline foot by lifting the orange recline foot adjuster, and tilt the base until the bubble on the level indicator is between the arrows.
  3. Pull up the LATCH release lever and extend the LATCH straps fully. Remove the LATCH connectors from their storage compartments and attach them to your vehicle’s LATCH anchors.
  4. Press the base down while pulling the LATCH straps to tighten. Check that the base is secure by rocking it side-to-side and front-to-back—it should not move more than one inch.
  5. Roll up any excess strap and store it in the base’s storage pocket.
  6. The base is now ready for the car seat to click in.

Installing with a Seat Belt:

  1. Place the base on the vehicle seat, making sure it does not block the seat belt buckle.
  2. Adjust the recline foot so the bubble on the level indicator falls between the arrows.
  3. Thread the vehicle seat belt through the belt path on one side of the base, then across and through the belt path on the opposite side. Buckle the seat belt.
  4. Press down on the base while pulling the seat belt to remove all slack. Keep tension on the shoulder belt and slide it through the belt lock-off on the opposite side of the buckle.
  5. Check that the base is secure by rocking it side-to-side and front-to-back—it should not move more than one inch.

Tip: Always double-check your installation before placing your baby in the seat.

The fabrics on the Chicco KeyFit car seat can be removed for cleaning. You can spot-clean with mild soap and water or machine wash on a delicate cycle in cold water using a mild detergent. Hang the fabrics to dry. Do not use bleach.
