We are so happy with our new car seat!! After extensive research and a consult from @safeintheseat, we decided on this one over any of the Nuna car seats. The safest car seat on the market right now. We have heard that it’s not as easy as an install as some on the market, but we actually went with the video manual and that helped a ton! We had it installed in no time. It has extra accessories on Clek’s official site as well if you are looking for an a extra Q Tether, wheel bag if you plan to travel, etc. Strolleria had it to us within 2-3 days of purchase, which was so great!! This is the perfect car seat and we are more than happy! Go with this one for a convertible car seat! You will not be disappointed!
Just ordered our second of these. Strolleria was the only place to have the same color in stock, which was such a lucky find! I actually paid a car seat consultant to tell me which is the best and safest car seat and this is where she steered me. Seat has already shipped within hours of placing the order too!
We love the Clek Foonf. We bought our third one. It is very heavy and sturdy. Not meant for moving from car to car because of the weight but if you plan to leave it in your car, it is the very best car seat in my opinion. Also narrow so we can fit them side by side which I like. We also have the nuna rava and the clek seems to be built sturdier.
We ordered two of these and after trying the first one, we returned the second. First of all, it is HEAVY. Not a bad thing when it comes to safety, but something to consider if you're planning on transferring it from car to car regularly. On both my Model 3, and my wife's Range Rover, in order to get the 'level' line level, we had to push the Foonf in crooked so it wasn't fully seated on the lower portion of the seat. There is a large gap towards the rear. I emailed Clek and they said this is fine and won't impact safety - however I don't like it because it puts excessive pressure and wear on the seat cushion.
What we like: It's narrow, which is great + it looks cool. The anti-rebound bar gives lots of leg room in the rear facing position.
What we don't like: It's tall and takes up a lot of space behind the passenger seat. Not a great choice for smaller cars. The cushions and overall fit and finish seem cheap compared to the Nuna Rava. The belts lack any sort of retainer so getting the baby in and out is more work as a result. The belt release lever is a bad design that is difficult to use + can hurt your fingers. In addition, the left and right belts seem to be separate when releasing tension. Sometimes only one pulls out leaving them uneven when you're trying to re-tighten.
Overall I wouldn't recommend it. The Nuna Rava that we purchased is nicer in just about every way (except leg room when rear facing and width).
Thing is built like a tank and looks like a Mercedes. Thankfully we’ve not had to test it’s true capabilities but our daughter is definitely more comfortable in it than her previous car seat. Expensive but you can tell where the money went with this car seat. The merino wool fabric is a very nice touch.
