New to Bugaboo in late summer 2024, the Bugaboo Kangaroo is Bugaboo's second single to double stroller, but first ever tandem single to double stroller. Bugaboo is known for their unique Donkey stroller, which expands from single to double sideways, but the Kangaroo expands with stadium style seats! An exciting addition to the Bugaboo line.

The Bugaboo Fox5 is Bugaboo's sleek single stroller. It is one of the lightest full-size strollers on the market, and made of the highest-quality materials with suspension in its all-terrain wheels and frame.

In this article, we'll explore the key differences between the exciting, new Bugaboo Kangaroo and the beloved Bugaboo Fox5, so you can decide which one is the best fit for your family's lifestyle and needs.

Bugaboo Kangaroo

The Bugaboo Kangaroo is the single-to-double stroller that adapts to your family. It actually looks very similar to the Fox5 when in single mode. Whether in newborn stroller mode or adjusted to carry two or even three kids, the suspension system and extra-large shock-absorbing wheels provide the smoothest, most comfortable strolls, wherever you go. Engineered for ease, it’s quick to convert into the perfect setup for your family. Choose from over 20 configurations available when combined with dedicated accessories (all sold separately).

One of the best parts of the Bugaboo Kangaroo is the ability to keep your newborn close to you with the upper newborn adapter! This allows the bassinet to go on top while your toddler takes in the views from the bottom front seat. Plus, you can bring a third kid along with the Bugaboo comfort wheeled board.

       Bugaboo Fox5 stroller

What stroller is better? Bugaboo Kangaroo vs. Bugaboo Fox5

So, which stroller is better? The Kangaroo and Fox5 are quite similar in single mode, even looking very much alike. The main difference to consider is whether you need a stroller that can accommodate up to three children. Some parents might only need a single stroller or are on their last stroller-riding child, while others, who are just starting their family, might prefer one that can grow with them. Ultimately, it’s a personal decision based on your family’s needs and plans.

It's worth noting that not all parents can accurately predict when they'll have their next child, and some prefer to wait until they've had their first baby before deciding if they need a double stroller. Furthermore, strollers from reputable brands like Bugaboo have good resale value, which means you can always upgrade to a double stroller if you need one later.

Bugaboo strollers are renowned for their exceptionally smooth push. Whether you opt for the single Fox5 or the expandable Kangaroo, you’ll be getting a premium, beautifully designed stroller that you’re sure to love!
