When Swaddelini was still being made in Liz Hilton's garage, she got a call from one of her customers.

"My baby Wren loves her lavender Swaddelini but I was hoping I could order a custom one.”

Liz saw this as an opportunity to make her product more inclusive. Wren needed her Swaddelini for more than nap time. It became an integral part of her medical care. As a special needs baby, Wren had trach and feeding tubes.This was stressful for baby Wren, especially when tubes had to be changed. Fortunately, her Swaddelini provided her comfort during these times. However, she was outgrowing her Swaddelini.Wren received the first custom Swaddelini, and inspired us to offer custom sleep sacks to anyone who needs them.

This past January 2024, Swaddelini received unfortunate news from Wren's family that Wren had passed away at the age of 3. She was surrounded by family and an outstanding medical team at the Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

To honor the life and courage of Wren, Swaddelini is committing 10% of every Wren Bundle to the Children's Heart Foundation. This will allow them to continue making life possible for other children like Wren.
