What Ages Can Children Use the UPPAbaby Stroller?

All UPPAbaby strollers are designed to be used from infancy until your toddler no longer wants to be in a stroller.

For most of their strollers, UPPAbaby recommends that the stroller seats be used from around 3 months up to 50 pounds.

UPPAbaby's larger strollers—such as the UPPAbaby Vista V2, UPPAbaby Cruz V2, UPPAbaby Ridge, and UPPAbaby Minu V2—also allow the attachment of an infant car seat or bassinet for a newborn. Both the Ridge jogging stroller and Minu V2 compact stroller require the purchase of adapter sold separately to attach a car seat or bassinet.

The UPPAbaby umbrella strollers—the UPPAbaby G-Luxe V2 and UPPAbaby G-Link V2—don't offer any newborn attachments and can't be used until around 3-6 months due to the angle of the seat.

When your child outgrows their stroller seat will depend on a number of factors, from their activity level to their height or weight. UPPAbaby does not list a height maximum for most of their stroller seats, only a weight capacity, because that is a more consistently measurable consideration.

Most children will reach the maximum weight capacity for UPPAbaby strollers after age 4. In a unique feature, the canopies on the UPPAbaby Vista and Cruz can slide up on the frame to create more headspace as your child grows taller.

How long can you use the UPPAbaby VISTA V2?

The UPPAbaby Vista V2 can be used from birth to 50 pounds (age 4+). The Vista V2 can be used with a newborn by attaching the included bassinet, an infant car seat or the Infant SnugSeat accessory.

• Toddler seat: 3 months to 50 pounds (from birth with Infant SnugSeat attachment)
• Included bassinet: Birth to 20 pounds, or until child can lift themselves up
• Also suitable from birth using infant car seats compatible with UPPAbaby Vista

How long can you use the UPPAbaby Cruz V2?

The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 can be used from birth until 50 pounds (age 4)+. The stroller is safe for a newborn if you add a bassinet, infant car seat or the Infant SnugSeat accessory, all sold separately.

• Toddler seat: 3 months to 50 pounds (from birth with Infant SnugSeat attachment)
• Can be used with UPPAbaby bassinet: Birth to 20 pounds, or until child can lift themselves up
• Also suitable from birth using infant car seats compatible with UPPAbaby Cruz

How long can you use the UPPAbaby Ridge?

UPPAbaby's first jogging stroller, the Ridge can be used from birth to 50 pounds (age 4+). Please consult with your pediatrician to determine when you can begin jogging with your child in the stroller, as you cannot use the Ridge as a jogging stroller with a newborn. At walking speeds, the Ridge is safe for a newborn if you add the UPPAbaby Bassinet or compatible infant car seat sold separately.

How long can you use the UPPAbaby Minu V2?

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 can be used from birth to 50 pounds (age 4+). The Minu is safe for a newborn if you add the From Birth Kit (for the original Minu only) or UPPAbaby Bassinet or an infant car seat sold separately.

• Toddler seat: 3 months to 50 pounds
• 2021 and older models needed a From Birth Kit bassinet: Birth to 20 pounds, or until child can lift themselves up
• 2022 to present models fit the UPPAbaby Bassinet with purchase of adapters: birth to 20 pounds, or until child can lift themselves up
• Also suitable from birth using infant car seats compatible with UPPAbaby Minu

How long can you use the UPPAbaby G-Luxe V2?

The UPPAbaby G-Luxe V2 umbrella stroller can be used starting at 3 months. It cannot be used for a newborn because the seat does not recline flat and it cannot attach a car seat or bassinet.

• 3 months to 55 pounds
• Cannot be used from birth (no car seat or bassinet options) 

How long can you use the UPPAbaby G-Lite (now discontinued)?

The UPPAbaby G-Lite umbrella stroller can be used starting at 6 months, when your child can sit more upright. It cannot be used for a younger baby because the seat does not recline, and it can't accommodate a car seat or bassinet.

• 6 months to 55 pounds
• Cannot be used from birth (no car seat or bassinet options)

How long can you use the UPPAbaby G-Link V2?

The UPPAbaby G-Link V2 double umbrella stroller can be used starting at 3 months. It can't be used for a newborn because the seat does not recline flat, and you can't attach a car seat or bassinet.

• 3 months to 55 pounds per seat
• Cannot be used from birth (no car seat or bassinet options)
