What are UPPAbaby wheels made of?
UPPAbaby has drawn inspiration from cutting-edge high-performance athletic shoe technology to craft distinctive all-terrain wheels made of durable polyurethane. The great thing about polyurethane wheels is they’re super low maintenance, don’t puncture or pop, and they help make the stroller feel lighter when pushing!

What ages can children use UPPAbaby strollers?
All UPPAbaby strollers are designed to be used from infancy until your toddler no longer wants to be in a stroller.
For most of their strollers, UPPAbaby recommends that the stroller seats be used from around 3 months up to 50 pounds.
UPPAbaby's larger strollers—such as the UPPAbaby Vista, UPPAbaby Cruz, UPPAbaby Ridge, and UPPAbaby Minu - also allow the attachment of an infant car seat or bassinet for a newborn. Both the Ridge and Minu require the purchase of an adapter sold separately to attach a car seat or bassinet.
When your child outgrows their stroller seat will depend on a number of factors, from their activity level to their height or weight. UPPAbaby does not list a height maximum for most of their stroller seats, only a weight capacity, because that is a more consistently measurable consideration.
Most children will reach the maximum weight capacity for UPPAbaby strollers after age 4. In a unique feature, the canopies on the UPPAbaby Vista and Cruz can slide up on the frame to create more headspace as your child grows taller.
Is UPPAbaby JPMA and ASTM certified?
Yes! Designed in the United States at UPPAbaby's Rockland, Massachusetts headquarters, all of UPPAbaby products are certified by the JPMA (Juvenile Products Manufacturing Association). Additionally, their car seats and strollers meet - and exceed! - ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) & JPMA compliance standards, as well as government safety and testing standards.
One question that is occasionally posed when comparing car seat options relates to the use of flame repellant chemicals, as parents look for ways to further protect their children! State and federal safety standards require that all U.S. car seats meet stringent flame retardancy standards, and many manufacturers will treat their fabrics with toxic brominated and chlorinated chemicals in order to meet these requirements; chemicals such as PBBs (brominated biphenyls or polybromobiphenyls) and PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers) which can be harmful to children. All of UPPAbaby products meet the applicable flame retardancy standards without the use of these potentially harmful chemicals.
How to know if is it an Amazon UPPAbaby scam?
Unfortunately, scams involving baby gear on Amazon have been on the rise, particularly fraudulent listings for UPPAbaby products, with the Vista stroller being the primary target. The problem is growing, so it's essential to stay vigilant and watch out for these two common warning signs:
- Seller or shipper's name is strange, long, or doesn't make sense
- Super low price, not offered anywhere else
If you ever question the legitimacy of a price, we encourage you to contact UPPAbaby directly. As an authorized seller of UPPAbaby products, Strolleria always offers the lowest price available!

UPPAbaby first started "out of necessity and opportunity" in 2006 when a husband and wife dreamed of a better baby gear brand. The Monahans' daughter gets credit for the name by saying "uppa, uppa" whenever she wanted to be picked up. It started with a stroller, and has since grown organically from 5 employees in 2006 to over 175 employees today selling products from strollers to car seats to high chairs to travel cribs!
Nuna, a global brand with roots in Amsterdam began in 2007, and still to this day is inspired by Dutch design. From the beginning Nuna has aimed to design timeless, innovative baby gear that’s also simple and stylish. Nuna’s first product was the ZAAZ high chair and since 2007 has grown and developed a wide range of baby gear products including car seats, strollers, baby carriers, and more!
Since their beginnings in 2006 and 2007, UPPAbaby and Nuna have grown tremendously and are leaders in innovation and design. They both have more than a dozen products each, and their product lines are continuing to grow every year.
