How to use the Thule Urban Glide for newborns

Parents holding their baby near the Thule Urban Glide 3 with bassinet

Although the Thule Urban Glide 3 is designed primarily for running, it's one of the few jogging strollers that can also be used for a newborn.

Using the Thule Urban Glide 3 single, 4-wheel, or double strollers, you can begin walking by attaching a bassinet or adding car seat adapters that fit a wide range of compatible infant car seats.

Many other jogging strollers can't be used until your baby can sit upright around 6 months or later.

Likewise, the included stroller seat for the Thule Urban Glide 3 single or double stroller does not recline flat and will not safely support a newborn that does not yet have developed head and neck support.

Add the bassinet for a flat and sheltered space for your little one, or for shorter outings, attach a compatible infant car seat for a convenient travel system.

How to use Thule Urban Glide 3 with a Bassinet

For a lay-flat space with your newborn, the Thule Urban Glide 3 bassinet is your best option to keep baby comfortable on longer outings.

The bassinet clips onto the stroller frame easily using included brackets and can collapse flat for compact storage or travel.

The bassinet includes a mesh cover to protect baby from weather and insects and a large UPF 50+ sun canopy with extendable visor.

You can attach the bassinet overtop the existing seat fabrics or remove the stroller seat and canopy fabrics while using the bassinet for a more streamlined appearance.

With the Urban Glide 3 double, the bassinet attaches to the parents' righthand side of the stroller.

If you are wanting to use an older stroller for infants, please note that the bassinet is only compatible with the Urban Glide 3 models and not the previous models.

How to use the Thule Urban Glide 3 Double Stroller for Newborns

When you're using the Thule Urban Glide 3 double jogging stroller, you can attach one infant car seat or one bassinet. It cannot be used with two car seats or two bassinets for twins.

The double stroller is designed to accommodate one newborn and one toddler, or two children from around 6 months of age and up. For a twin jogging stroller that can support two children from birth, you might consider the Bumbleride Indie Twin.
