Joolz Aer+ vs. Silver Cross Jet 5 | Stroller Comparison

When it comes to traveling with a little one, finding the perfect stroller can make all the difference. Two popular choices for parents on the go are the Joolz Aer+ and the Silver Cross Jet 5—both compact, lightweight, and designed to make navigating airports and city streets a breeze. But despite their similar appeal, each model offers unique features and benefits that cater to different needs. In this post, we’ll dive into the key differences between the Joolz Aer+ and Silver Cross Jet 5, helping you decide which one is the best fit for your family’s travel adventures.

Let's take a closer look!

Joolz Aer+ vs. Silver Cross Jet 5

Joolz Aer+

The Joolz Aer was first introduced in March 2021 and later updated to the Joolz Aer+ a few years after. It has quickly become a popular choice for parents looking for a lightweight stroller that’s perfect for both everyday errands and travel. Weighing just 13.2 pounds, the Joolz Aer+ is both portable and easy to carry, making it ideal for public transportation or air travel. Despite its lightweight frame, it’s built to last with a durable aluminum structure that supports children up to 50 pounds, offering both strength and reliability in a compact package.

The Joolz Aer+ is one of our best selling travel strollers and for good reason. It comes with a range of features designed to make your life easier. The stroller features a one-handed fold system that makes it easy to collapse and store in seconds. The stroller also includes a large storage basket, perfect for holding all of your essentials, as well as a sun canopy with UPF 50+ protection to keep your child safe from harmful UV rays.

Silver Cross Jet 5

This lightweight, travel-friendly stroller folds small enough to fit in an overhead bin and features a bumper bar that doubles as a trolley handle when folded. In its folded form, it looks like a carry-on suitcase, making it easy to wheel down the plane aisle and store overhead.

The Silver Cross Jet 5 can also be paired with an infant car seat to create a travel system, adding extra convenience. What really sets the Jet apart is its fully flat recline, which most travel strollers don't offer. This feature makes it suitable for newborns from birth—without needing a separate car seat—and provides a more comfortable sleeping position than a car seat. Plus, the Jet has a generous weight capacity of up to 55 lbs, making it a great choice for growing babies.

The Silver Cross Jet 5 has a similarly easy fold! The fold is also airplane friendly and can become even more compact if you remove the bumper bar / trolley after folding.
