Bugaboo Kangaroo vs. UPPAbaby Vista V3 | Stroller Comparison
Bugaboo and UPPAbaby are both leading brands in the premium stroller market, known for their quality and innovative features. They both offer convertible strollers, which can be adapted to hold two seats and potentially accommodate a third child on a ride-along board!
Can the Bugaboo Kangaroo or UPPAbaby Vista V3 be used from birth?
The Bugaboo Kangaroo and UPPAbaby Vista V3 can both be used with newborns. However, only the Kangaroo is able to be used with newborns straight out of the box without any additional purchases. The Kangaroo comes with a sleep-rated bassinet, and offers a bassinet stand (sold separately) that allows the bassinet to be used for both strolling and overnight sleep. Bugaboo takes a minimalistic approach with the Kangaroo, which includes a single seat/bassinet frame, one seat fabric set, and one bassinet set. Both fabric sets utilize the same frame. Parents initially use the seat frame to assemble the bassinet for use from birth to around 6 months (or until the baby can sit up unsupported). Once the bassinet is outgrown, the bassinet fabric is removed, and the stroller seat is assembled, making it easy to store away only the bassinet fabrics.
The UPPAbaby Vista V3 no longer includes the bassinet, but it is available for purchase separately. Or you could instead opt for the SnugSeat accessory that turns your toddler seat into a lie-flat option.
Bassinets are the safest way for a newborn to stroll. Bassinets support your baby's developing spine, neck, and head by allowing them to lie flat on their back. They have airflow and create a secure, snug environment, ensuring comfort during outings!
Can the Bugaboo Kangaroo or UPPAbaby Vista V3 be used as a travel system?
Infant car seat compatibility is essential for parents on the go, as it allows an infant car seat to easily click onto a stroller for use as a travel system. Both the Bugaboo Kangaroo and UPPAbaby Vista V3 offer this much-needed convenience. While the Kangaroo comes with a car seat adapter and requires it to accommodate an infant car seat, the Vista V3 does not require a car seat adapter if you use an UPPAbaby infant car seat.
Both models are compatible with industry leading infant car seat brands. Bugaboo includes a car seat adapter with the purchase of the Kangaroo stroller, whereas adapters for the UPPAbaby Vista V3 are sold separately. UPPAbaby does have a slightly more compatible brands and car seats.

Both the Bugaboo Kangaroo and UPPAbaby Vista V3 offer a very smooth and easy push. Of course they'll both be easier to push when in single mode, but even when loaded up in double mode, they both steer easily thanks to their suspension and larger tires. Either stroller can effortlessly handle snow, sand, grass, gravel and trails. The Vista V3 is slightly lighter weight with a slightly shorter frame making it a bit easier to turn, steer and maneuver.
What stroller offers more configurations? Bugaboo Kangaroo vs. UPPAbaby Vista V3:
The Bugaboo Kangaroo and UPPAbaby Vista V3 can both function as single or double strollers, and with the addition of their respective ride-on boards, each can accommodate up to three children. Since the Kangaroo comes with a bassinet it has slightly more configurations than the Vista V3 out of the box. Both the Kangaroo and Vista V3 can accommodate siblings or twins, as both strollers can hold one or two infant car seats, one or two bassinets, and one or two seats. Note that the second seat on both the Kangaroo and Vista V3 is slightly smaller than the main seat and has a lower weight limit (40 pounds), maybe making these strollers more ideal for siblings of different ages rather than twins.

What is a better convertible stroller? Bugaboo Kangaroo vs. UPPAbaby Vista V3:
So what convertible stroller is better? Well, only you and your family can decide! One deciding factor may be if you want to use a bassinet from the beginning. The Kangaroo comes with the bassinet, and has the ability to have the bassinet on top closest to you while an older sibling rides in the lower seat. This configuration is not possible with the Vista V3. However, if you live somewhere warm, the Vista V3 may be best for you with the all-weather seat! Or if you are purchasing your stroller past the first few months of your baby's life, it's nice you don't have to pay for an item you won't be using with the Vista V3.
Since the Kangaroo and Vista V3 are so similar in terms of function, seat layout, seat size, etc., it may just come down to what one you personally like the look of better! They are both beautiful, but one style may stand out more to you!
