2022 Silver Cross Wave Release Date

Just like previous 2021 models, the 2022 Wave is available in four colors: Charcoal, Zinc and Indigo, plus the Eclipse Collection with elevated fabrics and frame detailing. This special edition introduces both the Wave's functional updates and a new look, with a glossy black frame, luxurious two-tone woven fabrics and polished rose gold accents on the stroller's wheels and branding points.

New for the 2022 Silver Cross Wave, Silver Cross has added their Genius Harness System with magnetic buckle, designed to create backpack style adjustments to the harness and a quick-click magnetic buckle to save parents time and energy. Previous models of the Wave needed to be rethreaded in a more involved process, which could be time consuming to adjust as your child grows.

Silver Cross also updated the harness padding to include larger, more plush padding for increased child comfort.

2022 Silver Cross Wave vs. 2021 Silver Cross Wave Weight and Dimensions

Although Silver Cross made some big changes to the Wave in 2021 in regards to weight and weight capacity, the 2022 and 2021 Wave are identical in weight, size, and stroller capacity.

The 2021/2022 Wave chassis weighs 4.4 pounds less than older Wave models, making the 2022 Wave model in line with competing single-to-double strollers like the UPPAbaby Vista V2, Nuna DEMI Next, or Cybex Gazelle S.

Additionally, both the Main stroller seat and Tandem seat hold up to 55 pounds each, giving the 2021/22 Wave one of the highest total child capacities of any single to double stroller. Previous Wave models only held up to 45 pounds in the Tandem seat which is common for tandem style doubles.

The 2022 Wave is an excellent choice for twins or families with a larger toddler.

You can achieve the same 30 configurations for one child, siblings of different ages, or twins with both the 2022 Silver Cross Wave and 2021 Silver Cross Wave.

Since a bassinet is included in the box with the Wave single stroller, plus tandem connectors, you can use the Wave as a double with newborn and toddler right out of the box without purchasing the Tandem seat yet.

For configurations with a bassinet or infant car seat above and toddler below, you'll need to purchase the Tandem seat since the main seat cannot attach to the front of the frame.

The Silver Cross Wave has not seen any changes to the fabrics or color options between 2021 and 2022, keeping the same colors including the Eclipse special collection.

Silver Cross makes the Wave with some of the most luxurious materials you will find on any stroller, such as a chassis made with durable magnesium-alloy and hand-stitched leather accents.

Colors continuing on between 2021 and 2022 are Charcoal dark gray, Zinc light gray, Indigo navy blue, and Eclipse Collection. Fabrics on the Eclipse Collection stroller are two-toned and texturized for a premium look and feel while the frame is a glossy black with rose gold accents.

All 2021-2022 Wave models include a seat liner made of bamboo, a breathable and moisture-wicking fabric that can help keep your child cool in warm weather.
