2022 Bumbleride vs. 2021 Bumbleride Stroller Comparison

Bumbleride is adding new color schemes including a new fabric option, two updated features, and new accessories for the Indie, Indie Twin, Era, and Speed strollers.

The Bumbleride Indie, Indie Twin, Era, and Speed are launching in the late Summer and Fall of 2022 at Strolleria:

2022 BUMBLERIDE VS. 2021 BUMBLERIDE PRICE

All four of Bumbleride's strollers will see a slight price increase from previous years, with some variation in price by color. Here are the price changes being made to each model:

• 2022 Bumbleride Era - $779 to $859
• 2021 Bumbleride Era - $689 to $699

• 2022 Bumbleride Indie - $679 to $749
• 2021 Bumbleride Indie - $599 to $619

• 2022 Bumbleride Indie Twin - $899 to $1029
• 2021 Bumbleride Indie Twin - $839 to $869

• 2022 Bumbleride Speed - $699
• 2021 Bumbleride Speed - $609 to $629

This higher pricing reflects improvements Bumbleride has made to the bumper bar and stroller parking brake for ease of use, as well as added wool blend fabrics for some models.

2022 BUMBLERIDE VS. 2021 BUMBLERIDE FEATURES

New for 2022, Bumbleride has updated the parking brake to be sandal-friendly. Previous models had brakes that you could lock from above, but had to unlock from the underside which is less comfortable to do in sandals. The 2022 brake can be locked and unlocked from above by rotating the brake with your heel and toes to lock and unlock.

Another detail that will be even easier for parents is the bumper bar, which has been redesigned so it's easier to access the release buttons. 2021 and older models had hidden release buttons that were more challenging to locate and use.

Besides the updated brake and bumper bar, no other features are changing for the Era, Indie, Indie Twin, or Speed strollers, but other changes like new colors, fabric materials, and accessories are on the way!

2022 BUMBLERIDE VS. 2021 BUMBLERIDE ACCESSORIES

Two all-new accessories are being added to the 2022 Bumbleride stroller line - a handlebar extension that raises the handlebar so tall parents can push their Bumbleride stroller at a more comfortable height, and a bug cover accessory that provides see-through mesh coverage from the canopy to footrest during mosquito season!

Bumbleride is also updating all of the stroller rain covers, and the Mini Board ride along board accessory that fits the Era, Indie, and Indie Twin will also be redesigned.

2022 BUMBLERIDE VS. 2021 BUMBLERIDE MATERIALS AND COLORS

Bumbleride continues to offer fabrics that are comfortable and durable yet planet-friendly, thanks to sustainable manufacturing and dyeing processes, use of recycled water bottles in fabrics, and plastic components partially comprised of recycled fishing nets.

Certain colors are not going away, but Bumbleride has added at least one new color to all of their strollers this year.

New for 2022, an even more natural - and temperature regulating - fabric blend in the color Dusk grey has been added for the Indie, Indie Twin, and Era. Dusk is a heathered grey fabric that is soft to the touch and is made with an rPET polyester / wool blend.

Sand replaces Clay and features a sandy beige color with a contrasting sand and white checked print on the underside of the canopy. Sand is available for the Era and Indie only.

The Era is getting a color previously only available on the Speed, Olive green with a matte black frame, while the Speed is updating Maritime blue to a colorblocked edition called Supernova that blends Maritime, Clay, and Sea Glass.

2022 INDIE AND INDIE TWIN VS. 2021 INDIE AND INDIE TWIN COLORS

In 2021, Bumbleride offered five color choices for both the 2021 Indie and 2021 Indie Twin - Dawn Grey, Sea Glass, Maritime Blue, Matte Black, and Clay:

Two of the five 2021 colors are being replaced in 2022, Clay and Dawn Grey.

Clay is being replaced by a more muted Sand beige that has a contrasting check print at the underside of the canopy. Sand is exclusive to the 2022 Indie single model as well as the Era, and will not be available on the Indie Twin.

Dawn Grey is being swapped out for a new color with a premium material: the wool blend Dusk grey is soft to the touch and is a more breathable natural fiber blend available on both the Indie and Indie Twin.

The 2022 Bumbleride Indie is available in five colors: Black, Dusk, Maritime, Sand, and Sea Glass.

The 2022 Indie Twin comes four of the five Indie colors: Black, Dusk, Maritime, and Sea Glass but is not available in Sand:

2022 ERA VS. 2021 ERA COLORS

Three new colors have been added to the 2022 Bumbleride Era: Sand beige with checked contrast and Dusk grey wool blend, also available for the Indie, plus Olive Green with a matte black frame previously only available on the Speed.

The 2021 Era was offered in five colors: Clay, Sea Glass, Dawn Grey, Matte Black, and Maritime Blue:

The 2022 Bumbleride Era is available in six colors: Black, Dusk, Olive, Maritime, Sand, and Sea Glass.

2022 SPEED VS. 2021 SPEED COLORS

In 2021, the Bumbleride Speed Jogging stroller was offered in four colorways: Matte Black, Ironman by Bumbleride, Olive Green, and Maritime Blue:

 

Three colors, Black, Ironman, and Olive are continuing unchanged for the 2022, but Maritime has been replaced by a color-blocked version with a few familiar colors. Supernova, new for 2022, combines Maritime blue as the primary stroller color with pops of Sea Glass and Clay fabrics for a fun and sustainable fashion. By using material left over from Clay and Sea Glass fabrics, Supernova helps reduce manufacturing waste in a stylish way.

The 2022 Bumbleride Speed is available in Black, Ironman by Bumbleride, Olive, and Supernova:

2022 BUMBLERIDE VS. 2021 BUMBLERIDE CAR SEAT COMPATIBILITY

Since Bumbleride recently updated the Indie and Indie Twin car seat adapters in 2019, no changes will be made to the car seat adapters going into 2022. Infant car seats compatible with the 2021 Bumbleride strollers will also be compatible with the 2022 Bumbleride strollers. Here is a list of infant car seat compatibility by model:
