Read any list of top strollers and you're bound to encounter the City Mini GT from Baby Jogger.
The compact City Mini GT folds with one hand in one step, making it a breeze to stash in your trunk when you're on the go. And wherever you're heading, the City Mini GT can keep up, thanks to its foam-filled, all-terrain wheels—an upgrade over the smaller, plastic wheels on its City Mini counterpart.
In 2019, Baby Jogger introduced the second iterations of both strollers, now called the City Mini GT 2 and City Mini 2.
The new-and-improved City Mini GT 2 sports a modernized look with upgraded fabrics, improved maneuverability with all-wheel suspension, and other new features like a standing fold, adjustable calf support, and included car seat adapters.
Which City Mini GT is right for you? We'll compare both models in this comparison.
With its sleek, new look and expanded range of features, the City Mini GT 2 costs $399.99, which is $40 more than the 2018 version.
Thinking about the City Mini instead of the GT? The City Mini price is $279.99, up $20 from the previous model.
Baby Jogger modernized the look of both the City Mini GT 2 and City Mini 2 with an all-new design and upgraded fabrics.
Both models are available in a new range of neutral colors, a change over the previous model's bright color palette. The City Mini GT 2 features a black frame, which gives the stroller a more sophisticated look.

Here's a look at the new colors for both the City Mini GT 2 and City Mini 2.
Both the models are among the simplest strollers to fold: Just pull up on a strap in the seat, and the stroller instantly folds in half.
New for the GT 2 modelis a self-standing fold that prevents your stroller fabrics from getting dirty when touching the ground. Plus, the standing fold makes it easier on parents (and their backs) when lifting the stroller into the car.
The GT 2 model adds an adjustable calf support to the City Mini GT for the first time. Unlike the previous model, which has a seat with no moving parts, the leg rest on the City Mini GT 2 can be adjusted to support your child's legs as she grows.
Thanks to the adjustable calf support, the basket of the newer stroller can now be accessed from all sides of the stroller—making the basket a little more convenient than on the older version, which can't be accessed from the front.
The City Mini GT 2 has all-wheel suspension, an upgrade over the front-wheel suspension found on the previous version. While both versions have sturdy all-terrain wheels, the added suspension enhances the maneuverability of the 2019 stroller, making it a smoother ride over all types of surfaces.
Both models of the City Mini GT are compatible with a wide range of infant car seats from numerous brands—but the GT 2 version uses different adapters than the older model.
The City Mini GT 2 model also includes a set of adapters for car seats from Baby Jogger and Graco (both brands are owned by the same parent company). Previously, the same adapters were sold separately for $29.95.
