Clek is introducing its first infant car seat, the Clek Liing, in early 2019, which is available to pre-order now in limited quantities!

The Clek Liing will be available in three fabric options: a soft jersey knit with anticipated ship date in February 2019, GREENGUARD Crypton in April 2019, and 100% merino wool in April/May 2019.

Jersey Knit

Keep baby cozy with two ultra-soft Jersey knit fabric options that feel just like your favorite pair of pajamas. The heather-grey Chrome and jet black Carbon textiles are made of a lightweight polyester-spandex blend.

Tailored GREENGUARD Crypton

With the sophistication of a fine tailored suit, the premium GREENGUARD Crypton textiles in light Thunder grey or warm Slate grey are clean and comfortable for baby while providing continuous protection from spills, stains, and odor-causing bacteria.

100% Australian Merino Wool

For the ultimate luxurious and natural fabric, Clek's Mammoth Merino wool is fleecy-soft and itch-free, and naturally helps regulate baby's body temperature whether in the heat of summer or chilly winter months. Mammoth is naturally fire-resistant so is not treated with flame-retardants.

Are Liing fabrics free of flame-repellant chemicals?

A question which many new parents are asking is whether their infant car seat has fabrics that are healthy for their little one, and free of harmful chemicals.

All three Clek Liing fabrics meet the federally-required automotive fire-safety standards, yet are free from halogenated (brominated and chlorinated) flame retardants. They undergo careful screening specifically for known flame retardant chemical compounds, with additional screening for halogens, phosphorous, and other chemicals (such as antimony) commonly used in flame retardants.

The Mammoth Merino Wool fabric will be the only fabric option that contains no added flame retardants.

How do I care for the Liing fabrics?

For the Tailored Crypton fabrics in Thunder and Slate, Clek's Crypton "Super Fabrics" are designed to stop stains before they even happen! These two options for the Liing are stain resistant, waterproof, and antibacterial - which means ultra-easy care.

Whether you choose the Jersey Knit, Crypton, or Merino Wool fabric options, most spills and messes can be picked up with warm soapy water and spot treating. Additionally, you can always remove the seat fabrics for deeper cleaning!

If there are any tougher stains (from sunblock spills to formula and beyond) you can also use the Crypton for Clek stain remover kit, which comes with a Pink solution for oil-based stains and a Green solution for protein-based stains, plus an upholstery brush.
