Yes, the Doona is suitable for a newborn! As an infant car seat primarily, the Doona Infant Car Seat / Stroller can support your little one from when they weigh as little as 4 pounds, up to 35 pounds or 32" tall - whichever comes first.

Included with purchase of the Doona is an infant insert cushion designed to create a near-flat position for your newborn to rest comfortably when in the car seat. It is made of a breathable bamboo charcoal fabric that helps regulate baby's temperature in both hot and cold climates for additional comfort.

While infant car seats are designed to be more portable than their larger counterparts (convertible, toddler, or all-in-one car seats), the Doona goes one step further and turns into a stroller when you're not in the car!
