Can you use convertible car seats on strollers?
No, unless you have an Orbit Baby system you cannot use convertible car seats on strollers. No other brand has a convertible car seat that works on strollers.
Convertible car seats, which are designed to be used in both rear-facing and forward-facing modes, are typically not compatible with strollers. Unlike infant car seats that can be attached to stroller frames, convertible car seats are generally bulkier, heavier, and not designed for the same level of portability and convenience. They are meant to stay installed in your car. Most families find it best to have a convertible car seat in each vehicle the child regularly rides in.
If you want to use a car seat with a stroller, you will need an infant car seat that is compatible with your stroller and can be attached securely using adapters (if necessary). Infant car seats are specifically designed for this purpose, allowing you to easily move your child from the car to the stroller without disturbing their sleep or having to re-strap them into a different seat. However, infant car seats are outgrown on average around a year old (make sure to check your specific car seat manual for limits). Once your child outgrows the infant car seat, you transition to a convertible car seat for use in the vehicle.
