UPPAbaby Vista with UPPAbaby Mesa Car Seat
The UPPAbaby VISTA stroller is compatible with the UPPAbaby MESA, MESA V2, and MESA Max infant car seats.
You won't need any adapters to attach an UPPAbaby MESA series infant car seat to the UPPAbaby VISTA in single stroller mode. However, you will need select adapters when using the UPPAbaby VISTA as a stroller for twins or siblings of different ages.
If you already have a different brand of infant car seat, see more car seats compatible with the UPPAbaby VISTA for alternate travel system options.
We'll explain how to use the UPPAbaby MESA, MESA V2, or MESA Max on the VISTA stroller below.
How to use UPPAbaby MESA on UPPAbaby VISTA single stroller
To attach your UPPAbaby MESA, MESA V2, or MESA Max car seat to the UPPAbaby VISTA in single stroller mode, you will simply remove the stroller seat and attach the car seat in its place.
All year models of the MESA series from 2015 to present secure onto the VISTA from 2015 to present and any VISTA V2 model in the same way.
The car seat clicks onto the frame and is easily removed with one hand by pressing the oval button on the top of the car seat handle.
How to use UPPAbaby MESA on UPPAbaby VISTA double stroller
If you're using the UPPAbaby VISTA as a double stroller, you'll also need the upper adapters and, for select configurations, the lower adapters to create space for most double configurations.
For any double configurations of the VISTA involving the car seat, the upper adapter is needed to create more space between the two seats.
For siblings of different ages, most families attach the UPPAbaby MESA car seat in the upper position of the stroller, with their toddler in the RumbleSeat on the lower position. However, there are some situations where your toddler will be closer to you with your youngest in the lower front setting - which does require purchase of additional adapters.
You'll also need the lower adapters if you're using the MESA, MESA V2, and MESA Max (or bassinet) on the lower position of the stroller.
You may want to use the MESA on the lower position for these reasons:
- Your toddler is too big for the RumbleSeat, which has a 35-pound weight capacity. The RumbleSeat only fits in the lower position, and the larger Toddler Seat (with 50-pound capacity) only fits in the upper position. In this case, you can use the MESA on the lower position.
- You want to avoid or prolong purchasing the RumbleSeat and use only the Toddler Seat, which comes with purchase of the VISTA.
For your convenience, the upper and lower adapters can remain attached to the frame when you are folding down your stroller.
