The Nuna MIXX Next and MIXX strollers are only compatible with the Nuna PIPA Series infant car seats. Use a PIPA car seat, the MIXX Bassinet, or the stroller seat with your little one on the MIXX Next or MIXX. The stroller seat can be fully reclined to a lay-flat position, suitable for a newborn to use without any added infant inserts.

In 2020, Nuna introduced the PIPA RX and the PIPA Lite R models to join the PIPA car seat family, and in October 2021 the PIPA Lite RX is being released. These newest models come with the updated RELX base, now giving you a more custom fit to your vehicle for the comfort of your baby.
How to use the Nuna PIPA on the MIXX
Simply snap the included Nuna Ring Adapter onto the MIXX stroller frame by first removing the stroller seat, and then clicking the adapter into place. Using the MIXX Series Ring Adapter allows for an easy one-handed release to detach the PIPA off of your stroller. The MIXX can be folded with the ring adapter still attached.
To secure the PIPA onto the ring adapter, simply set it overtop the adapter so it can click into place! You'll attach the back of the PIPA onto the side of the adapter that curves upward—the center tab on the opposite side will then lock into the front of the car seat. Your car seat is safely attached after you hear the click and you can't lift it off the stroller frame. While it is typical to have the car seat parent-facing, you can opt to have the car seat facing the world by switching the adapter around.
If you have an older model MIXX Series stroller, the included post adapters still work with all five PIPA models or you can purchase the Nuna Ring Adapter for the MIXX Series separately for an easier release.
