UPPAbaby Vista V3 vs. UPPAbaby Vista V2 | Stroller Comparison

Uppababy is a brand we all know and love! And for good reason. UPPAbaby's high quality, innovative products make parenting easier. Their gear is easy to use, durable, and beautiful!

UPPAbaby's popular convertible single-to-double stroller, the Vista, is about to enter its third iteration since its debut nearly 20 years ago. The Vista has been a well loved versatile stroller that's designed to adapt from your baby's first ride to managing three children with ease. Sold as a single stroller, the Vista can convert into a double stroller with the purchase of a second seat later on. Add a ride-along board accessory, and the Vista can even accommodate three children.

On top of its versatility, the Vista offers a number of winning features like a standing fold, an extra-large storage basket, and compatibility with UPPAbaby's infant car seat models, which click on the stroller without adapters and can be removed with one hand.

The Vista last underwent a major update in 2020 with the Vista V2. In this comparison, we'll explore the new features of the brand new UPPAbaby Vista V3 with the Vista V2, and determine if it's the right stroller for you!

Let's take a look!

Bassinet comparison: Will the UPPAbaby Vista V3 have a bassinet option and what are the differences?

Yes, UPPAbaby will offer a bassinet for purchase for the Vista V3. And actually, the bassinet is also receiving an exciting update! We recommend purchasing a bassinet if you are planning to use your Vista V3 from birth. Bassinets are recommended as they provide a flat, safe sleeping surface that is crucial for a newborn's developing spine and overall health. The UPPAbaby Bassinet is also overnight sleep approved!

The Bassinet V3 includes these upgrades:

  • Foam-free air mesh mattress for maximum breathability
  • Quick zip, cross ventilation panels that can be opened for greater airflow or closed for added warmth
  • Dual zipper on bassinet boot cover easily opens and closes to tend to baby
  • GREENGUARD® Gold certified to support healthier air quality and low chemical emissions

It also keeps these popular features:

  • Extendable, UPF 50+ sunshade and mesh panels for air flow
  • Vented window on base with covering bringing air flow from bottom to top
  • Collapsible design for easy stow away
  • Carry handle with an effortless one-hand stroller release for easy on-and-off attachment
  • Zip-out, water-repellent inner liner and boot cover are easy to remove and clean

  • Included Bug Shield to protect from outdoor elements
  • Fits directly onto UPPAbaby Bassinet Stand

Yes, both the UPPAbaby Vista V3 and Vista V2 can be used as a travel system! There have been no changes made to compatibility. UPPAbaby infant car seats conveniently attach to the Vista V3 and Vista V2 without the use of any adapters, and release in seconds for easy transfer to your home or car.

Other branded car seats can be used with an adapter (purchased separately).

What are the configurations of the UPPAbaby Vista V3 vs. Vista V2 stroller?

The UPPAbaby Vista is known for its versatility and the Vista V3 is no different! The Vista V3 is compatible with the Bassinet (optional), Mesa®, and Aria™ Infant Car Seats. These can be attached directly to the stroller without the need for adapters, creating a seamless from-birth travel system.

Just like the Vista V2, to make the Vista V3 a double, you purchase the lower seat called the RumbleSeat. This lower seat is a bit smaller than the top seat, and holds a child up to 40 pounds. The RumbleSeat V2+ comes with lower adapters to attach it to the frame. These lower adapters also work to attach the bassinet, UPPAbaby infant car seat, or car seat adapter for a different brand car seat. Please note that the RumbleSeat cannot be used on the top. The Toddler Seat (upper seat your stroller comes with) only fits on the top.

The configurations for the Vista V3 are the same as the Vista V2, however, you will not have the configurations that use a bassinet unless you purchase one since the stroller no longer comes with the bassinet included.

Here are some of the Vista V2 configurations:

Is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 better than the UPPAbaby Vista V2?

The UPPAbaby Vista V3 is definitely an upgrade from the UPPAbaby Vista V2! The stroller is still the same popular and loved stroller, however, they've updated some things making it an even smoother, more comfortable, and safer ride. The suspension is improved and the stroller glides even easier, if you can imagine! The seat is cozier and the all-weather seat is a great option to have, especially here in Arizona. The frame is slick, and the wheel reflectors make it safer when strolling at night. Plus, the entire stroller is now GREENGUARD® Gold certified to support healthier air quality and low chemical emissions.

If you're buying from the get go with your first baby, the lack of bassinet is somewhat disappointing, but it's nice as an add-on since so many people opt to purchase the Vista later on in their strolling journey past the point of their little one fitting in the bassinet. We highly recommend adding the Bassinet V3 on if you are planning to use with a newborn! The fact you can use it at home or when traveling too for safe naps and nighttime sleep is so convenient too!

We are definitely excited about the upgrades and love the Vista even more! UPPAbaby does it again!
