Tavo Pets Maeve
Tavo Pets Maeve comes with both a car seat base (much like the base of an infant car seat) and a pet carrier. Maeve simply clicks down onto the base, and colored indicators confirm a locked connection. The carrier releases from the base with a button for easy transfer from car to home. Maeve can also click into the compatible Roscoe stroller frame for all your travel and adventures. Maeve is not airline compatible like Dupree.

Tavo Pets Dupree
Unlike Maeve, Tavo Pets Dupree does not use a base in the car and instead installs with the steel-reinforced ISOFIX latches on the car seat itself. They connect to the vehicle's rigid latch anchor bars, ensuring a secure and simple installation in seconds! Dupree is designed to provide your pet with a home away from home when traveling. Dupree does not attach to a stroller and instead is just carried from home to car to airplane. Unlike the Maeve, Dupree is built for travel and fits comfortably under airline seats.
Dupree Pet Car Seat comes in two different models:
- Dupree I: up to 20 pounds
- Dupree II: up to 20 pounds
The Dupree I and Dupree II are very similar and offer the exact same interior size for your pet. There are a couple differences:
- Dupree II includes a zip-open top with a magnet to hold the rolled-back window open
- Dupree II weighs 0.5 pounds more than the Dupree I
- Dupree II has two carrying straps on top like a duffle bag, versus the one carry handle on the Dupree I
- Dupree II is a bit more expensive than the Dupree I

Tavo Pets Maeve and and Dupree have both been thoroughly tested to provide a safe car seat for your fur baby. What sets the two apart is really the difference in install and use. Maeve attaches to a stroller for outings whereas Dupree is meant to be carried and used for air travel.
Maeve Install
Maeve installs in the car using the vehicle base much like infant car seats. Using the same safety advances and high-end materials found in premium child car seats, the base provides optimal security and stability with its 5-second True lock™ installation system and stability leg. The base attaches to the vehicle’s rigid latch anchor bars for a secure, simple installation. Once installed, you simply click the car seat in!
Dupree Install
Unlike Maeve, Dupree does not have a base and does not work with Maeve's base. Instead it functions much like the PIPA Urbn baseless car seat. Dupree has steel-reinforced ISOFIX latches to connect directly to your vehicles latch! No extra steps needed, just snap and your pet secure and ready to go! For flying, Dupree is made to fit under the seat in front of you.

What One is Better?: Maeve vs. Dupree
One is not better than the other! It really depends on how you intend to use the Tavo Pet Car Seat! Maeve is more for everyday comfort and use, whereas Dupree is for air travel and car trips. If you are needing to take your pet on planes with you, and they are within the size restrictions of Dupree, that would be the choice I would make! However, if you are wanting something for around town, and for everyday use, I would choose Maeve since you can also get the stroller to stroll your pet around! If it's in the budget, and you plan to travel by plane too, I'd honestly think about both since they do provide different uses.
