Silver Cross Reef Stroller

The Silver Cross Reef is the ultimate multi-terrain stroller system: suburban, stylish, sustainable. It is refined yet functional, providing a smooth ride and luxurious feel no matter where your day takes you. Enhanced four-wheel suspension, numerous from-birth options, durable and sustainably made fabric, and more make the Reef a versatile option for the suburban parent.

Although Silver Cross makes a different bassinet for each stroller, the Dune and Reef bassinets are interchangeable: you can choose between a more Compact Dune bassinet that is not for overnight use, or for $50 more the Reef's First Bed Folding bassinet creates a versatile sleeping option at home or on the go.

Silver Cross Dune vs. Reef Features and Configurations

Both strollers share a number of features that add comfort for your child and time-saving convenience for parents!

With the Silver Cross Genius harness system, you'll be able to raise and lower the harness straps and headrest in one smooth motion - with just one hand! Softly padding on the shoulder straps and buckle provide additional comfort, as does a soft headrest built into the seat.

A deep, true-flat seat recline and adjustable calf support create a comfortable resting environment from day one. The included leatherette bumper bar provides a place for your child to hold on while you ride, and the bumper bar can detach on either side and swing out of the way while your child gets in and out of the seat.

On bright, sunny days, the large canopy has a zip out extension with mesh window for air flow, as well as two different flip out visors for more or less additional coverage. Plus, for even more shade and privacy, the included Sun Sail accessory with UPF50+ protection extends from the end of the canopy all the way to the handlebar and can be attached or removed quickly as needed.

Both the Reef and Dune offer several options for how to use from birth and beyond. Unique to the Dune, an included newborn apron is built into the calf support to provide coverage at baby's feet when you're using the stroller from birth. Otherwise, to use the Dune or Reef from day one purchase a Newborn Pod, Bassinet, or Car Seat Adapters for a newborn.

The Newborn Pod is a soft fabric set with plush interior fabrics that cocoon your little one and the Pod attaches directly onto the stroller seat while fully reclined. You'll use the stroller harness in combination with the Pod to keep baby secured. The Pod is interchangeable between the Dune and Reef but Silver Cross makes a matching Pod color for each Dune and Reef color so you can mix and match!

Silver Cross makes a different style of bassinet for each stroller, but if you like the features of one stroller and features of the other bassinet you can use the Dune and Reef bassinets interchangeably! For the Dune, a matching Compact Bassinet folds quickly and easily for compact storage and travel, the ideal companion for the compact Dune stroller. However, the Dune Compact Bassinet is not for overnight sleeping. With a deeper design and structured sides, the Reef First-Bed Bassinet is indeed approved for overnight sleeping and is compatible with a bassinet stand for in-home use.

How to Fold Silver Cross Dune vs. Silver Cross Reef

The Dune and Reef fold in the same easy steps with just one hand.

After locking the stroller brake, you'll want to fold the stroller seat in half: using the recline lever at the back of the seat, raise it to a 90 degree angle, then press the glossy button at the top of the canopy and push the seat forward so it folds in half.

Next, lower the stroller handlebar, the press the safety to the right and press the handlebar adjustment button again and the stroller handle will lower toward your feet.

Both the Dune and Reef lock automatically and stand upright when folded so you don't have to reach to the ground when lifting. A comfortable padded carry handle on either stroller makes it easy to carry short distances or lift into your vehicle. No need to worry about germs from the floor on the stroller handle - it stays far off the ground when the stroller is folded for cleanliness!

To unfold, press the locking tab inwards while lifting up on the handlebar and adjust the handle to your desired height. Then, set the stroller seat back upright without pressing any buttons and you're ready to roll.
