All convertible car seats are safe, but few are literally made of steel like the Clek Foonf and Fllo, considered to be among the best on the market.

For 2018, Clek is debuting new features that will make the Foonf and Fllo even more appealing to parents seeking the ultimate in safety—and style—for their kids.

The 2018 car seats now have an industry-leading three-year warranty, along with a couple of new features that make them easier to use.

While most of the 2018 line is now in stock, Clek is also releasing another new addition in May that's available for pre-order from Strolleria. The Mammoth line of the Foonf, Fllo and Oobr car seats are made of 100% Australian merino wool, a fabric that is naturally flame-resistant and helps regulate your child's body temperature.

Extended warranty for 2018 Clek

Prior to 2018, Clek offered a warranty period of one year, which is standard for car seats. But one year isn't much when you can use the Clek Foonf or Fllo for several years, thanks to the 65-pound weight capacity of both seats.

That's why Clek now leads the industry with its three-year warranty, helping to ensure your car seat lasts as long as you need it to. For 2018 products, Clek offers one year of standard warranty, plus an additional two years of warranty when you register the car seat online within 90 days of purchase.

The extended warranty is available only for 2018 Clek seats, not for previous model years.

2018 Clek Mammoth merino wool car seats

In May 2018, Clek is releasing a new version of the Foonf, Fllo and Oobr car seats. The Mammoth line is made of ethically-sourced, 100% Australian merino wool in a dark gray color.

Not only is merino wool naturally fire-resistant, the fabric also helps regulates your child's body temperature, keeping kids cool in warm weather and warm in cool weather. Wool is also hypoallergenic, breathable, odor-resistant and luxuriously soft.

The Mammoth Clek Foonf is available for pre-order from Strolleria and is expected to ship in late May.

2018 Clek colors

Clek is continuing the fabrics and most of the colors for the Foonf and Fllo in 2018. 

The Fllo, as well as some colors of the Foonf, are made of a plush fabric with a nubby, terrycloth-like feel. The Foonf in Thunder, Cloud and Slate ($20 more) feature a woven fabric that's more smooth and sleek.

These colors are available for the 2018 models:

• Shadow (black with black base)
• Flamingo (pink with black base)
• Thunder (light gray with black base)
• Cloud (light gray with white base; Foonf only)
• Slate (dark gray with black base)
• Noire (black with black base; Fllo only)
• Tokidoki (cartoon print; new for 2018)

If you like these 2017 colors, buy them now—they're no longer available in 2018:

• Woodlands (heathered green with black base; Foonf only)
• Cadet (heathered green with white base; Foonf only)
• Prince (purple with black base; Foonf only)
• Aura (purple with white base; Foonf only)

2018 Clek chest clip

Safely positioning the chest clip on your child isn't always as simple as it sounds. The chest clip on the 2018 Clek Foonf and Fllo includes an image that shows parents the correct position to keep children safe as they grow.

2018 Clek Foonf LATCH system

One of the unique safety features on the Clek Foonf is its rigid (metal) LATCH system that simplifies forward-facing installation and provides a stronger connection than typical plastic LATCH systems.

Red tabs on the side of the Foonf allow the rigid LATCH system to release. But if the tabs aren't working, the 2018 Clek Foonf now features an easier way to manually disengage the seat, located on the side of the LATCH.
