Where are Bugaboo strollers made?
Bugaboo products are manufactured in an exclusively Bugaboo-owned and operated factory in Xiamen, China. Since Bugaboo owns their factory, this allows Bugaboo to supervise all aspects of production to ensure safe, fair and humane working conditions. The Bugaboo factory holds ISO9001, ISO14001 and SA8000 certifications, which relate to fair treatment of workers, as well as environmental and quality management systems.
In 2018, Bugaboo held their first Bugaboo Chinese Supplier Summit to ensure that - through collaborative efforts - their production process promotes a sustainable supply chain. Bugaboo utilizes a Responsible Chemical Management Policy to ensure that potentially hazardous substances are used responsibly while reducing the overall use of such materials in both manufacturing processes and end products.
As an active member of the SAC since 2017 (Sustainable Apparel Coalition), Bugaboo uses their HIGG index to accurately assess and score their company and supplier's social and environmental sustainability performance.
