What is the UPPAbaby RumbleSeat?

What is the UPPAbaby RumbleSeat?

Add the UPPAbaby RumbleSeat to your UPPAbaby Vista or Vista V2 to quickly turn it into a stroller for two.

The term "RumbleSeat" is UPPAbaby's term for the Vista convertible stroller series' second seat, and does not refer to the main Toddler seat that came with the Vista or Cruz strollers.

The RumbleSeat is the seat that attaches to the lower position of your stroller, converting it into a double stroller.

If you own the Vista single stroller, you already have the Toddler Seat, which attaches only to the upper position.

The Toddler Seat and RumbleSeat are two different sizes, with the Toddler Seat holding up to 50 pounds and the RumbleSeat up to 35 pounds. They are not interchangeable, because the part of the seat that connects to the stroller frame is different, with the Rumbleseat using its own special adapters to fit onto the front of the frame

How long can my child use the RumbleSeat?

Just like the Toddler Seat, you can use the RumbleSeat from as young as 3 months on its own, though a small infant may be more comfortable in the seat closer to 6 months of age, with the Vista's included newborn bassinet supporting infants from birth up to 4-6 months old.

The RumbleSeat has an adjustable-height canopy for a seat back height of 17-20", as well as a 35-pound weight capacity, and UPPAbaby suggests a height limit of 36" tall.

Unlike the upper Toddler seat, the Rumbleseat does not have adjustable calf support, so the upper seat may provide more support for an older toddler.

Can the UPPAbaby Toddler Seat go on the bottom position?

No, the UPPAbaby Toddler Seat does not fit on the lower position of the Vista or Vista V2 frame.

Because the frame narrows toward the bottom of the stroller, only the Toddler Seat fits in the upper position, and only the RumbleSeat fits on the lower position. The Toddler seat is too wide to fit on the Rumbleseat adapters, and it has a different connection point that prevents it from fitting the Vista Lower adapters needed for a Mesa infant car seat or Vista Bassinet in the lower position.

It is not possible to interchange the seats or to use two Toddler Seats on the stroller.

What does the RumbleSeat come with?

With purchase of the RumbleSeat, you will receive the complete RumbleSeat seat with canopy, RumbleSeat adapters, leather-covered bumper bar, and a bug shield to protect your little one during mosquito season.

A rain cover accessory is sold separately for the Rumbleseat here.

The RumbleSeat adapters are only used to attach the RumbleSeat to the frame. To attach a car seat or bassinet to the frame, you'll need the upper and lower adapters, sold separately.

Is the RumbleSeat compatible with all Vista models?

The current UPPAbaby RumbleSeat V2 is compatible with any Vista or Vista V2 stroller from 2015 to present.

Unfortunately, it will not be compatible if you have a Vista from 2014 or earlier. UPPAbaby made a different style of Rumbleseat that could not face forward, which was discontinued shortly after the 2015 Vista came out.
