What Is a Travel System? | Baby Gear Essentials Explained

You may have come across the term "Travel System" when researching your baby's car seat and stroller. A travel system is in reference to when the car seat and stroller are sold as a set. It does not mean that the car seat and stroller are necessarily better for travel, it simply means that the car seat can conveniently click onto the stroller making it easier when traveling or out and about. Travel systems make it an easy one click option when purchasing!

While some manufacturers sell travel systems as a set, most strollers and car seats are sold separately. With the exception of lightweight travel strollers used mainly later on for travel, city living, and quick errands, all strollers sold by Strolleria are compatible with infant car seats. We typically recommend picking out your stroller first—you'll likely have at least a few choices for a compatible car seat. Once you have your stroller picked out, you can visit the compatibility page to find what car seats will work with your stroller!
