Does the Bugaboo Donkey fit through doors?
Yes, the Bugaboo Donkey stroller fits through doors with one or two seats attached. The Donkey stroller is 29" wide in Duo or Twin mode with two seats attached, and just 23.6" wide in Mono mode with one seat attached.
Per the ADA, doors to most businesses are 36" wide on average for accessibility, with some narrower doors as narrow as 32", which provides enough space for the Donkey stroller to pass without issue.
Attaching one or two infant car seats to the Donkey stroller adds to the overall width due to the placement of the car seats, and the exact additional width will depend on which car seat brand you select. If needed, parents with twins may need to remove one infant car seat from the stroller to fit through narrower, 32" doorways that would otherwise fit the Donkey with two toddler seats or two bassinets.

How does the Donkey convert to a double?
The Bugaboo Donkey stroller is one of the few convertible strollers that expands from single to double modes by adding a second seat to one side, versus over the front wheels. This design makes steering the stroller around corners and over curbs much easier than a tandem double stroller, because weight is distributed over the larger rear tires rather than the front swivel tires.
Expand or reduce the width of your Donkey stroller with a series of three latches in white, located at the handlebar, front axle, and rear axle of the stroller, then with the press of the white button underneath the stroller seats. At its narrowest, the Donkey can support one toddler seat, one bassinet, or one infant car seat, plus the side luggage basket, and at its widest the side basket is removed to make space for the widened frame to accommodate any combination of two toddler seats, two bassinets, or two infant car seats.
