Great! Chose this over nuna rava

I researched convertible and all in one car seats for weeks to replace my nuna pipa infant car seat and ended up choosing this Diono. My son is 27/28 pounds, 32” tall right now and I do think this will fit him a little better when he’s a little bigger but already he loves it and he doesn’t look as squished as he did in the graco convertible car seat my friend let me try. I think this will be more comfortable for him, for longer, given it’s more of a booster seat style. When kids are older, they look so awkward in the bucket looking all in ones like britax and tbe nuna. With that said, it was easy to install, it does recline a lot and takes up a lot of room bc of the angle, but when he is a tiny bit bigger we can use the pad and fix the recline angle to allow for more space in the car. I tried it and it really goes give you an extra 4-5” of car space back!

The cup holders are really awkward and they pull the sides of the seat down; which Is a bummer because I think it makes it less cozy when the seat isn’t snug up against his thighs and I really wanted the cup holders to work. But they wanted to keep it a narrow seat so I understand.

I love that the back is vented, which is another reason I chose this one and not the nuna rava. My boy runs hot and he would be so sweaty in the pipa, but hasn’t been sweaty since we changed to the Diono. This one just has more safety things standard and it just looks and feels more comfortable and ergonomic for my toddler. Memory foam cushion. Padding on the back that actually is padded and not just a thin covering. Also the bottom fold up! So it was a backpack it can fit in for traveling which I haven’t seen with any other brand. Right now I give it a 7.5/10 , I will rate higher when he’s a little bigger and gets to use the head rest supports and the recline angle is a little better. But we love it and so does he so far.
