We actually have 2 of these car seats. Both are the same color and model, just one is a 2023 model and one is a 2024.
Overall it is easy to install, is comfortable for the child, adjust easily and best of all, it sits up higher because of the base so your child can see outside more.
The one annoying thing about the 2024 model is that they placed a peice of clothes over the strap release button with a small hole to put your finger in. The middle from last year just had a small platic part that covered part of the button to try to keep the child from loosening the straps, but it could still be touched by a child, however, it was so easy for a parent to push the button to loosen the straps.
HOWEVER, in the new model they put cloth over the button to hide it and have a small opening for a parent to jam a finger it and bend at an of angle between the back seat and the cloth opening. It is really difficult and painful to the finger to try to release the strap with the hidden button. I know it is for safely; but owning both, I really like the old model button for last year.
If you test it out in the store, I bet it is fine, but recommend letting them try it in your car first and see how hard it is to jam your finger in the cloth opening between it and the seat.
I hope they can redesign it for 2025. Lucky for me I kept the old one for the main car and have the painful one in the less used car.
I might cut the cloth cover off If I had to use the new one daily.
But overall, great car seat, just test it out installed in your car and try the strap release button to see if it a deal breaker.
