UPPAbaby Minu V2 vs. Minu Stroller Comparison
Since 2018, the UPPAbaby Minu has been a top choice for parents in search of a lightweight stroller to use at home and while traveling because of its compact, one-handed fold and newborn solutions.
Launched in April 2022, the UPPAbaby Minu V2 stroller is undergoing its biggest transformation yet, with many updates that make the stroller even more convenient.
If you already have an UPPAbaby Vista V2 or Cruz V2 stroller, you might recognize similar features like an included leather bumper bar, no-rethread harness, zip-out canopy shade, adjustable calf support and bassinet compatibility.
New for the Minu V2, you can now bring your older toddler along with a Piggyback ride-along board that's like no other. Its just-to-the-side positioning allows you and your standing child to be next to each other while you push the stroller, creating better leg room and visibility.
What isn't changing is the generous seat back and sun protection, quick one-handed fold, and ample storage space, plus a multitude of chic colors and handy accessories.
We'll compare the UPPAbaby Minu V2 travel stroller to the previous Minu models in this post.

UPPAbaby Minu V2 vs. UPPAbaby Minu Price
The UPPAbaby Minu V2 costs up to $50 more than previous models of the Minu stroller because of its added features like a leather bumper bar and updated seat design.
Stroller Price
- Minu V2: $449.99
- Minu: $399.99 to $429.99
Bassinet Price
There is a $70 price difference between the Minu V2 and Minu newborn bassinet option.
The Minu V2 uses a structured bassinet that is approved for overnight sleeping and compatible with a bassinet stand, whereas the previous Minu newborn option, the From Birth Kit, was a soft fabric set that attached directly into the frame and could not be used for overnight sleeping.
The bassinet used with the Minu V2 is also compatible with UPPAbaby's full-size and jogging strollers, the UPPAbaby Vista V2, Cruz V2, and Ridge.
- Minu V2 bassinet: $199.99
- Minu V2 adapter for Mesa / Bassinet: $24.99
- Minu From Birth Kit: $129.99
If you already have an UPPAbaby Vista V2 or Vista from 2015 to present, the bassinet that came with your stroller is compatible with the Minu V2 using the Mesa / Bassinet adapters.
UPPAbaby Minu V2 vs. UPPAbaby Minu Weight and Dimensions
With these added seat features comes a slightly heavier stroller: the Minu V2 weighs 16.9 pounds, two pounds more than its predecessor. (The adjustable calf support and included bumper bar add weight, but also convenience).
However, the weight difference is not noticeable when you're pushing the stroller or carrying the folded frame, thanks to a slightly smaller design.
Weight
- Minu V2: 16.9 pounds
- Minu: 14.8 pounds (without bumper bar accessory)
Dimensions
- Minu V2: 35.5" L x 20.25" W x 41" H

How to Fold UPPAbaby Minu V2 vs. UPPAbaby Minu
Both strollers fold in the same way: Just press the grey button at the handlebar to the left or right with your thumb, then squeeze the folding trigger with your fingers while folding the handlebar forward.
Your Minu will collapse quickly and easily, then lock into place to secure it for transport.
What is changing for the Minu V2 is the design of the folding lock. The previous Minu model had a stationary lock that was more rigid, which made it slightly more difficult to open (and also easier to break by accident when unfolding the Minu in a hurry!)
For a stress-free unfold, the Minu V2 now has a hinging lock at the side that is easier to use, plus a durable locking tab.
UPPAbaby Minu V2 vs. UPPAbaby Minu Bassinet
The Minu V2 is now compatible with the UPPAbaby Bassinet that also fits the Vista V2 (included with Vista purchase), Cruz V2, and Ridge strollers.
To attach it to the Minu V2, the bassinet uses an adapter which also fits the UPPAbaby Mesa infant car seat.
Previous models of the Minu were not compatible with any bassinets, but UPPAbaby offered a lay-flat option for newborns called the From Birth Kit.
The From Birth Kit is a set of fabrics, including a five point harness and thin mattress, which had to be assembled onto the Minu frame after removing the seat fabrics. Although the From Birth Kit was not quick to attach and remove from the Minu, and was not approved for overnight sleeping, the From Birth Kit could fold easily while attached to the frame.
Now, with purchase of the Mesa/bassinet adapters, the UPPAbaby Bassinet fits onto the Minu and Minu V2 strollers and is able to be removed with the press of a button in the bassinet carry handle. Foldable, approved for overnight sleeping, and compatible with a home stand, the Bassinet is more versatile.
Bassinet Dimensions
- From Birth Kit: 31"L x 12"W x 6" H
- Bassinet: 31"L x 15"W x 10"H
Bassinet Weight Capacity
- Birth up to 20 pounds
